Acer Swift 14 AI review: An affordable, long-lasting Snapdragon laptop
The Acer Swift 14 AI offers solid all-around performance with the latest Snapdragon silicon and a generous selection of ports, but the trackpad is poor and Copilot features are still MIA. The Acer Swift 14 AI looks like an unimposing laptop that could easily be mistaken for any number of machines in Acer's lineup. It has a secret inside, though. The Swift 14 AI is Acer's first Arm-based notebook, running on Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite processor. Laptops have changed a lot in the last few years as Arm-based chips have finally gotten powerful enough to run Windows.

Acer launches the first Swift laptops with Lunar Lake CPUs
Today at IFA in Berlin, Acer unveiled the first Swift and TravelMate laptops with the latest Lunar Lake CPUs from Intel. Not only are these laptops equipped with the latest processing capabilities, but they're also designed to handle demanding AI workloads. The Swift even boasts a premium aluminum cover as well as an OLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The new TravelMate, on the other hand, is stupidly lightweight at just 2.20 pounds (!!!). Let's not waste anymore time and dive right in.

Acer joins Microsoft, Dell and others in announcing a Copilot PC
Acer just announced a new laptop that takes full advantage of Microsoft's Copilot AI technology, the Swift 14 AI. This is one of the first PCs with Copilot built directly into the system, so you can expect some serious AI bells and whistles. To that end, there are plenty of new system-wide tools that could radically change how we interact with personal computers. The Recall tool is an amplified search function that lets users find missing files via natural conversation. It's sort of like an AI Sherlock Holmes, only for misplaced Word documents and the like. You describe any clues you remember about the file and Recall starts sleuthing.
